This contemporary version is designed like a real 16th century Scottish sword that is currently housed in the Royal Armories in Leeds. This functional sword features double fullers on the 32 inch, 1065 high carbon steel blade and an intricate wire basket-hilt. This elaborate wire basket-hilt forms a heavy, protective guard. The 4 ¼ inch grip is wrapped in natural, real ray skin that is beautifully wire wrapped. The 3/16th inch thick, 1 ½ inch wide high carbon steel blade has double fullers which have been lavishly engraved with an intricate pattern. The sword includes a black leather scabbard that is accented by a metal throat and tip that are handsomely decorated with matching engraving.
