 Paul Chen Practical Plus Katana Swords are 40 1/2" overall. Swords have
a sharpened 27 1/4" hand
forged and differentially tempered high-carbon double pegged long tang steel
blade with a HRC60 edge and a HRC40 back. The hamon is prominent on this
particular blade. Black coated metal Tsuba is of an iron "sunburst" design
with a brass habaki. The Practical Plus features a 12 1/4" handle with
genuine Same (Rayskin) on the Tsuka, with a wrap (Tsuka-Ito) specially
developed for its gripping qualities. Wooden scabbard with a black lacquer
finish. This is a beautiful and fully functional piece.
