These Black Prince Swords feature a late 14th century hand and a half sword design, Type XVa, and are made to honor the military prowess of the Black Prince, Edward of Woodstock. This modern version features a functional hand tempered 34 inch sharpened blade that is hand forged from 5160 carbon steel. They are full tang and securely peened into the pommel. The contoured 6 ¾ inch wooden handle is wrapped in genuine black leather. This sword includes a black leather wrapped wooden scabbard that features polished steel accents at the throat and tip. The solid steel pommel and steel cross guard feature an antiqued blackened finish. A cross is engraved in the circular pommel. They have a point of balance at 2 ¼ inch below the chape of the hilt.
