Kingston Arms Battle Ready Tourney Swords are 36 ½ inches in all. These Viking Swords are from Tourney Series of sparring and stage combat swords that feature blunt blades with rounded edges and thru-tang construction. The 30 inch blade is forged from 9260-Spring steel that has been tempered to approximately 50 HRC. The 2 mm rounded blade edges make them ideal for reenactment and stage combat. These Viking Swords have a peened stainless steel guard. The pommel is pressed into place and hot peened. The real leather grip is wrapped with cord for a comfortable grip. The 4 3/8th inch handle is intended to be long enough to accommodate gloved or armored hands. The oval cross section and slight barrel shape are designed to lessen fatigue. The blade fuller serves to lighten and counter balance the swords. The wooden scabbard is covered in real leather and features a steel tip and chape. The design is based upon a period original fencing sword that is now located in Switzerland. This Kingston Arms Federschwert has been updated in conjunction with several HEMA groups across the country to this new version of the real original. Medieval Single Hand Knight Swords are an Oakeshott Type XVIII with a contemporary Angus Trim (Atrim) design. These performance swords are produced by Kingston Arms. They are 33 ¼ inches in all and have a functional and sharp 27 inch blade. The flat ground blade is hand forged in mono-tempered 9260 spring steel with a handsome satin finish. They feature the classic diamond cross section of the Oakeshott's Type XVIII, typical of historical short swords used by knights during the 15th Century.
