Valiant Armoury Castile Swords Practical Edition is 38 5/8" overall. These swords have a 31 1/2" double edge hand forged 1060 high carbon spring steel blade. Black leather wrapped handle. Stainless guard and pommel. A custom black leather scabbard is included. These swords are designed by Christian Fletcher and Angus Trim.

Special Note: A Signature Sword is a close representation of a Christian Fletcher original work of art built on a Gus Trim blade. Gus Trim is known throughout the Custom sword world as having some of the greatest skill and knowledge in sword metallurgy and craftsmanship. Christian Fletcher is a Master Cutler. He builds his works on blades from a few sources but uses Gus Trim blades exclusively for the original designs he creates for our "Signature Collection" swords.

While we strive to recreate the swords Christian Fletcher makes as close as possible, some changes from the originals must be made in order to meet our pricing goals. With this in mind please remember that a Christian Fletcher original version of the Castile built on a Gus Trim blade would run the buyer around $1500.00. The Valiant Armoury Signature Castile is less than a third of that price. We believe that this makes for great value. However if you feel that an exact duplicate of the Castile is what you desire, please feel free to contact Christian directly at his website. He will be glad to make you one.

Valiant Armoury swords are real swords. They are not to be used in theatrical-style reenacting except where specifically named for that purpose and designed for that specific use. While these practical and functional swords are designed for soft target cutting (such as tamashigiri - the cutting of mats) they should only be used for that purpose by well trained professionals. Never perform cutting exercises without proper training and supervision. It is dangerous to use Valiant Armoury swords in any manner other than their intended purpose. Abuse or misuse will void the warranty and endanger the user.
